Application Process

  1. Complete the application

    • You will need to upload a current resumé

    • You will need to upload your responses f0r two essay questions (see below).

    • Please note that payment of the $100 application fee is required as part of submitting your application.

  2. Obtain three recommendations* (see below)

    • Pastor/Church Official

    • Professor/Colleague

    • Professional Peer/Friend

  3. Submit official transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended

    • If you have more than one transcript to send. Please upload your undergraduate degree into the system and mail or email the rest to:

Important Things to Know

  1. Responses to the following essay questions must be typed in a PDF or Word Document and uploaded.

    • Write a statement explaining your desire to pursue theological education and your future ministry and/or vocational goals. Please include your previous ministry experience, your gifts/calling for ministry, and your current involvement in your local church or Christian ministry.

    • Why specifically, do you want to attend the John Leland Center?

  2. To send requests to your recommenders you must log into the Admissions portal and press start next to the ‘Recommendation Milestone’. Then you will enter the name and email address of each recommender. An email will be sent to them with a link to the recommendation portal.

  3. When continuing an application, after inputting your username/email address, please select ‘Use different email address’ on the next page to finish logging in.
