Who Should Consider the Diploma in Theology Program?

The Diploma in Theology program of study is for students seeking to gain knowledge and practical skill for ministry. It is for both laity and ministry candidates who have completed at least a high school degree. It is also for those who wish to take classes for credit and believe they would like to further their studies to include an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. These classes meet for three hours each week and run for 15 weeks. Thirty-six (36) semester credit hours and full payment of tuition and fees are required to receive the diploma.

Introduction to the Bible (3 hours)
  Introduction to the Old Testament (3 hours)
  Introduction to the New Testament (3 hours)
  Interpreting the Bible for Preaching & Teaching (3 hours)
Theological Studies Christian Theology I (3 hours)
  Christian Theology II (3 hours)
  History & Theology of the Churh (3 hours)

Theology & Ethics for the Church (3 hours)
Ministry Studies Formation for Ministry (3 hours)
  Theology & Practice of Ministry I (3 hours)
  Theology & Practice of Ministry II (3 hours)
  Public Ministry of the Church (3 hours)

 36 Total Credit Hours

What are the Admissions Requirements?

  1. Attested commitment to the Christian faith manifested by a commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ, membership and participation in a church.
  2. Attested commitment to ministry indicated by a written statement of vocational or ministry objectives.
  3. Demonstrated academic ability by a High School diploma or G.E.D.
