Our mission at the John Leland Center for Theological Studies is to equip transformation leaders for the global ministry of Jesus Christ.  Our curriculum is theologically sound, practically based and academically rigorous.  Persons with a seriousness of purpose, likelihood of satisfactory performance in the degree program, and emotional stability are encouraged to apply.

Applicants will be evaluated on their academic ability (minimum GPA of 2.5 required for Master’s degrees), potential for emotional, mental and spiritual growth, as well as clarity of purpose and call.

Graduate Certificate Online Application

 

Graduate Special Student Admission

We have the following categories for prospective students interested in taking one or more classes without entering a certificate or degree program. Interested individuals should complete the application and designate the appropriate category.  No application fee is required.

  • Graduate Special Student: May take up to 12 credit hours of master’s course work to explore academic interests.
  • Visiting Special Student: Students enrolled at other seminaries take up to 12 credit hours of master’s course work.
  • Alumni Special Student: Alumni of the John Leland Center who are returning to take class.
  • Graduate Audit Student: Ideal for the person who wishes to learn in an academic setting without the pressures of assignments and examinations.

Diploma in Theology / Diploma Audit

Deadline

Applications for admission into the upcoming term will be accepted through the first week of classes for the Fall and Spring terms and the first day of classes for the January and June terms. Applications received after the first week of classes (or first day of classes for J-terms) will be processed for the next term’s enrollment.

Admission Requirements

Admission to the Diploma in Theology program has three requirements:

  1. A high school diploma, GED, or its equivalent
  2. Completion of the Diploma in Theology program admissions application
  3. Payment of the $25 application fee (Required for both audit and for-credit students.)
