Director of Transformational Leadership/Associate Professor of Divinity
PhD, Princeton Theological Seminary
Before coming to Leland full time in 2012 Dr. Shirin taught at American and Russian institutions of higher learning for 10 years. Dr. Shirin has authored multiple articles on various issues in philosophy, theology and leadership theory. His core conviction is that dealing with multiple problems in both church and larger society needs to take theology with the seriousness it requires. Dr. Shirin’s scholarly and curricular interests are broadly interdisciplinary and include, among other subjects, theology, philosophy, and their relations to larger culture, particularly to leadership studies.
