Leonard L. Edloe has served since 2014 as an Adjunct Professor of Christian Ethics at the John B. Leland Theological Center, School of Ministry in Hampton Roads. He teaches the Christian Ethics Course for the Masters Program and the Theology and Ethics Course for the Diploma Program.
He is the founding pastor of New Hope Fellowship in Hartfield, Virginia. He previously served as pastor of Antioch Baptist Church in Susan, Virginia.
For 42 years Dr. Edloe was the pharmacist and CEO of his family owned chain of pharmacies in Richmond Virginia. He also served as a member of the clinical faculty and was a lecturer at the Schools of Pharmacy of Hampton University, Howard University, The University of South Carolina and Virginia Commonwealth University. While retired Dr. Edloe remains active in the profession. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Visitors of the Howard University College of Pharmacy, and President of the American Pharmacists Association Foundation. He has been interviewed and written articles on the Conscious Clause and its implication for pharmacist and pharmacist involvement in lethal injection. For his work serving underserved communities and the profession, he has been honored by being awarded the Hugo F. Shafer Award and Virginia’s Outstanding Pharmacist. He is also a fellow of the American Pharmacists Association.
He also remains engaged in the community serving on the board of the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia and Virginia Premier Health Plan
Dr. Edloe earned a Bachelor of Science for the Howard University College of Pharmacy, and Master of Divinity from the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology, Virginia Union University and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Florida. He is currently enrolled in Union Presbyterian Seminary in the Master of Theology degree program.
For nine years Dr. Edloe hosted his own radio show, “What’s Going On” on WCLM radio, 1450 AM in Richmond.
He is married to the former Serita Hamilton and the father of one daughter, Leonard Lenisse. They reside in Mechanicsville and Cobbs Creek, Virginia
