In July 2006, the John Leland Center for Theological Studies was invited to join the prestigious Washington Theological Consortium. The Washington Theological Consortium is a consortium of diverse theological institutions representing many Christian denominations located in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan community. Membership within WTC allows for inter-faculty collaboration, ecumenical dialogue, and shared resources. Students attending the Leland Center may choose from among 300 different course offerings within the consortium. Students and faculty alike have access to over 2 million volumes available through the WTC libraries. The Washington Theological Consortium sponsors regular ecumenical lecture/dialogues and student events. Master’s students can pursue certificates in Ecumenism, Muslim-Christian Studies and Ecology & Theology through the WTC as part of their Leland degree program.
