Graduate Certificate in Leadership Studies
WHAT IS THE GRADUATE CERTIFICATE IN LEADERSHIP STUDIES?
The Graduate Certificate in Leadership Studies (GCLS) is a program of study designed for students who are leaders or preparing to be leaders in various walks of life. The program is taught on the Masters level and requires a student to have finished their Bachelor’s degree. The GCLS has two tracks: congregational (C) for students who exercise leadership in churches and public life (PL) for students who lead in other public settings. The program is designed to be completed in two years part-time or one year full-time studies. Like the other degree programs at the John Leland Center, courses are scheduled so that students who are working full-time may pursue their studies without significantly compromising their family life and employment.
WHO SHOULD CONSIDER GCLS?
The GCLS is ideal for ministers and lay persons who wish to enhance their leadership skills in order to exercise theologically integrated leadership in congregational and other public life settings.
