Benefit Concert Grammy award winning Christian artist Cynthia Clawson will be singing to benefit the Leland School of Ministry at a concert to be held at First Baptist Church, Newport News, VA. Ms. Clawson will be accompanied by Bruce Greer. An accomplished musician in his own right, Mr. Greer received a Dove Award in 1999 for Musical of the Year, "Mary, Did You Know?" Integrating the Arts in Christian Worship Workshop This interactive workshop, led by Ragan Courtney, will assist in providing worship leaders (or those just interested in worship) a solid Biblical and theological foundation for making use of the visual and performing arts to enhance worship in their faith communities. Ragan Courtney is the co-pastor of The Sanctuary church in Austin, Texas, along with his wife, Cynthia Clawson. He is the author of the musicals "Celebrate Life!“ and "Bright, New Wings.” Ragan has also written and published five books of poetry. He taught at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky and was the Director of the Center for Christianity and the Arts at Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas. He has conducted countless workshops across the country on creative worship.
